A Marine-Inspired Lighting Feature for a Luxury Seaside Destination
For a luxury seaside resort in Santorini, Greece, we created a custom marine-themed chandelier designed to become the visual centerpiece of the property’s main staircase. Inspired by the movement of the Aegean Sea and the warm texture of sunlit sand, the Sand Sea Chandelier brings together sculptural form, layered color, and architectural lighting design.
Developed in collaboration with Aegean Luxury Resort, this bespoke installation was designed for a high-end hospitality environment where lighting is not only functional, but also emotional, memorable, and deeply connected to place.
Design Concept: Sunlight, Water, and Sand
The chandelier draws its inspiration from the natural beauty of the Greek coastline. Blue and gold elements are suspended at varying depths to simulate the effect of sunlight passing through clear seawater and reflecting onto the sandy seabed below.
The layered composition creates a sense of movement, as if the fixture is gently shaped by waves and coastal wind. From different viewing angles, guests experience shifting reflections, depth, and color—turning the staircase into a dynamic visual journey.
A Custom Statement Piece for Hospitality Interiors
In luxury resort design, the main staircase is often more than a transitional space. It is a signature architectural moment that sets the tone for the guest experience.
This custom chandelier was designed to enhance that moment. Its flowing curves echo the surrounding architecture, while the blue and gold palette reflects the resort’s coastal identity. Suspended above the staircase, the installation creates a strong focal point that connects interior design, brand atmosphere, and location-specific storytelling.
